Easy mode: just the buttons you need. Tap Pro for every setting.
🎛️ Controls
Play starts the music (the DJ says hello first). Next song skips ahead. Say something makes the DJ announce anything — the music gets quieter while it talks. Volume sets how loud the music is; the speaker’s own volume works too.
Your phone’s volume buttons and the speaker’s volume work too.
💒 Wedding run-of-show
When it’s time for the next part of the wedding, tap the big pink button. The DJ announces it and plays the right song.
The list below is the order of the evening (entrance, dinner, toasts, first dance…). Next moment does the next one. For toasts and speeches the music stops until you tap Resume music. Fill in the names under Wedding details so the DJ says them. Tap a moment’s name to change what the DJ says or pick its song.
👰🤵 Wedding details names the DJ says
Use these in any announcement: {bride} {groom} {couple} {maidofhonor} {bestman} {fatherofbride} {motherofbride} {fatherofgroom} {motherofgroom} {parents} {officiant} {dj} {title} {artist}
📋 Moments tap a name to edit · ☑ on/off · ▲▼ reorder
Moments without a song go back to the party set list. 🎤 Talk-only moments pause the music until you tap Resume. Save the party to keep everything on this phone (works offline for song files).
➕ Add music
Easiest: songs saved on this phone — they work even without internet.
Phone files: tap the big button and pick music files (MP3 and similar). YouTube: in the YouTube app tap Share → Copy link, then come back and tap Paste. YouTube needs internet while it plays. Spotify needs Spotify Premium and a one-time setup.
MP3, M4A and other music files. When you save the party, the songs are kept inside the app so it plays later — even with no internet.
Tip: paste a playlist link to add every song in it.
Works with youtube.com, youtu.be, Shorts, m.youtube.com and music.youtube.com links. A playlist link (with list=) adds every song in a public or unlisted playlist.
Plays in the YouTube player (needs internet while playing).
🎵 Spotify is optional. It needs Spotify Premium and a one-time setup — tap Pro at the top to set it up.
Needs Spotify Premium. Sign in under Connections below.
🎶 Set list
These songs play in order, top to bottom. Tap a song to play it now. ✕ removes a song. 🔀 mixes up the order. 🗑️ clears the list (saved parties are kept).
💾 Saved parties
Save your party so it’s ready on the day. Songs from your phone are kept in the app and play without internet.
Type a name (for example “Sam’s 40th”) and tap Save. On the day, tap Load next to it and then Play. Saving again with the same name updates it.
🎙️ DJ voice & mixing
Android tip: install/update “Speech Services by Google”, then in Android Settings → Text-to-speech pick a high-quality voice for more natural voices.
Mixing
Custom announcements ({title} {artist} {dj})
One phrase per line; one is picked at random. Leave empty to use the built-in ones for this style.
🔗 Connections (YouTube & Spotify)
YouTube
Free key: Google Cloud Console → enable “YouTube Data API v3” → Credentials → API key. If you restrict it to websites, add https://partydj.ggrealtygroup.com/*. Only needed to show search results inside the app — without a key, Search opens YouTube and pasting links works.
Spotify
- Open developer.spotify.com/dashboard and log in (the app owner needs Spotify Premium).
- Create app → name “Party DJ”, any description.
- Redirect URI — add exactly:
- Under “Which API/SDKs”, tick Web API and Web Playback SDK. Save.
- Settings → copy the Client ID (not the secret) into the box above, then tap Sign in with Spotify.
- Anyone else who signs in must be added under Settings → User Management (max 5 users in Development mode).
